19 of the Russian's 21 titles have been won on hard courts
A comeback the Russian player won his first championship for nearly 30 months with success over Corentin Moutet in the tournament title decider.
Medvedev, a former top-ranked player, has had a torrid season, managing just one win at the major tournaments and undergoing a setback at the New York tournament.
The player's varied form on the professional circuit - and struggles with his serve in particular - caused him exiting of the world's top 10 and finally splitting with long-time coach Cervara.
Currently collaborating with Thomas Johansson and his other coach, he has consistently advanced in the past month - culminating in a hard-fought three-set victory over opponent Corentin Moutet.
This marks Medvedev's initial championship after the Rome competition and maiden on a hardcourt from that period of 2023.
The win also means the Russian has secured 21 victories at twenty-one distinct events.
"It's the first time I'm at a tournament with my children together, so to win a trophy is particularly special," said tennis professional the champion.
"This championship is in tribute of my second daughter her name, because the initial championship I achieved when my older daughter Alisa was born was for her."
The athlete, the former major winner, had lost his past six finals, including in that event previously this season.
Medvedev's defensive strategy and frequent emotional displays on court had caused commentators to doubt if his skill to perform at the highest level was concluded.
Yet the player has made changes in the past month, attempting to approach the net and perform aggressively, backed up by an better serve.
Medvedev came back from a disadvantage in the initial set against the challenging Frenchman, securing four of the concluding five exchanges to gain the advantage.
Both players traded break points in the following set before Moutet, striving for his maiden ATP Tour championship, gained dominance to push for a final set.
The opponent rescued 4 early chances in a tight deciding set before Medvedev secured a break to fifteen to secure the win.
Suitably, the winner clinched victory with a shot at the front of the court, with the Frenchman incapable to manage a return after two hours and 38 minutes.
